Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Chart Industries, a leader in cryogenic separation, liquefaction and purification processes, is looking for a Project Management Manager for our Cold Box projects. In this role, you will direct, lead and manage the efficient operation and development of the Project Management team in our New Iberia, Louisiana facility, which is responsible for our Cold Box fabrication.

What Will You Do?

You will be responsible for ensuring on time delivery of our products, packaged to contractual specifications. You will develop the Project Management capabilities within the team and lead improvements in project execution and scheduling to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires close coordination and collaboration with the Operations team in New Iberia and with the client-facing Project Manager and Engineering teams located in our Woodlands TX, Tulsa OK, and La Crosse WI offices.

This position exists within Chart’s broader Project Management Organization (PMO) and will report to the Director of Project Management located in our Woodlands, TX office.

• Provide leadership, motivation and strategic direction to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the project management team.
• Provide clear communication to the team in relation to required goals, responsibilities, performance expectations and feedback.
• Drive innovative and continuous improvement strategies within the department and the business to improve project margins, performance against the budget and on time delivery using robust operational processes.
• Drive financial performance in line with commitments. Identify, evaluate, report and seek to minimize any negative financial variance and ensure cash flow milestones are maintained.
• Manage team expectations and processes to ensure proactive project coordination of the following:
• Project Specifications and Assembly Requirements
• Weld Procedures and Drawings
• Inspection Requirements
• Progress Reporting
• Purchasing Requisitions
• Third-Party Vendor Coordination
• Resource Tracking
• Status Communication
• Kickoff Meetings
• Inspections, Testing, and Shipping
• Lessons Learned Documentation and Reporting
• Own and lead project execution, scope management, risk management, and resource management. Drive accountability and ownership of this within the project team and the wider business. Ensure that project risks and opportunities are identified well ahead of time and are mitigated and realized respectively.
• Ensure that departmental standards and processes are maintained and updated in line with industry standards and are applied at all times.
• Monitor and report on the KPI’s in area of responsibility and review actions and workflows accordingly.
• Interact and respond to all aspects of Chart Business Excellence (CBE) supporting cost reduction, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements.
• Ensure compliance to Company Health and Safety policies and standards to support a safe working environment.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.

Required

• Leadership, communication, negotiating, influencing and inter-personal skills, with the drive and commitment to achieve project deliverables.
• Proven experience in Project Management methodologies, tools and responsibilities.
• Proven people leadership experience.
• Management of project execution teams in an Engineered-to-Order environment.
• Proven commercial awareness.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Responsibility for budget controls within a Project environment.
• Commitment to the development of a continuous improvement culture.

Desired

• 10+ years' experience in project management.
• Process Technology, Cryogenic, or Packaged Equipment Experience.
• Experience working in a matrix organization where influence, indirect leadership and compelling ideas are used to accomplish organizational objectives.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
