Manager, Process Engineering
At Torani, we’re building the next chapter of our manufacturing future - and Engineering plays a critical role in making it real. As a Process Engineering Manager, you’ll lead project teams through complex technical challenges while helping translate Torani’s growth objectives into practical, well-scoped engineering solutions. You leverage your technical expertise to support capital projects from definition through execution, helping ensure solutions are practical, effective, and fit for purpose.
In this role, you won’t just deliver projects - you’ll help define them. By understanding production needs, capacity goals, and operational constraints, you’ll help develop capital plans that balance performance, cost, and long-term flexibility. You’ll operate comfortably in a fast-paced, evolving environment, coaching your team through ambiguity, refining designs as requirements mature, and ensuring engineering decisions translate into reliable, real-world performance on the floor.
At Torani, a Certified B Corporation, we flavor more than just drinks - we flavor lives. You’ll join a people-first organization where engineers are empowered to grow, innovate, and make a meaningful impact across the business.
Success Factors (First 12 - 18 Months)
- Processing & Packaging Systems Expert: You leveraged deep expertise in syrup and sauce processing and high-speed packaging to design reliable, scalable, operationally excellent systems. By partnering with technical experts, you evaluated tradeoffs and implemented innovative solutions that balanced performance, maintainability, and food safety. Your expertise in food and beverage process design, thermal processing, filing technologies, applied automation, and packaging line integration supported both near-term improvements and longer-term capacity planning.
- Capital Project Delivery Master: You manage capital projects supporting Torani’s growth, translating business and operational needs into practical engineering solutions. In partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, you defined scope, evaluated options, and delivered projects safely, on time, and within budget. Projects included both targeted improvements and larger investments, with responsibilities spanning engineering support, equipment evaluation, implementation, and start-up activities.
- Continuous Improvement Champion: You embedded continuous improvement into engineering work by partnering across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety to improve reliability, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness. Using data, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methods, you helped eliminate inefficiencies and strengthen preventive maintenance programs. Your work ensured engineering solutions delivered sustainable performance gains well beyond project handoff.
- Coach and Capability Builder: You supported the growth and success of your direct report while serving as a mentor and coach to others across the team. Through regular feedback, knowledge sharing, and thoughtful development conversations, you helped build individual capability and strengthen overall engineering effectiveness. Communication stayed open, wins were celebrated, and accountability was clear - resulting in a high-performing team that delivered consistently and enjoyed working together.
- Collaborative Business Partner: You created a highly integrated way of working across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and external partners by understanding what mattered most to each group and balancing those priorities with engineering requirements. By sharing context, listening actively, and translating technical complexity into clear, actionable decisions, you build trust and alignment that accelerated execution and improved outcomes.
