Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. Manager, Planning – Pipelines

Located: Houston

Summary

The Planning Manager, Pipelines is responsible for overseeing elements of major pipeline projects. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of pipeline engineering, procurement, and construction sequencing. This new position reports to the Director, Pipeline Planning & Scheduling, and will be based at our office in Houston, Texas, with potential for travel to project locations and contractor offices.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborating with contractors and functional leads to develop and maintain effective schedules from feasibility through execution.
• Ownership and accountability for schedule data and supporting processes by using the schedule as a management and communications tool.

Qualifications

Required experience

• 10+ years of relevant planning & scheduling and project controls experience in major Oil & Gas engineering and construction projects, particularly pipeline infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of linear construction, contractor management, and interaction with EPCM firms.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Dedicated work ethic with ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and business needs, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and TILOS scheduling software, and Acumen Fuse.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Visio skills.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Licensing & Certifications

• Preferred certifications include those from PMI: PMP, PMI-SP and AACE: PSP, EVP, CCP.
