Manager of student engagement & crm outreach

The Manager of Student Engagement and CRM Outreach is responsible for the daily management and development of the admission office's student engagement efforts and integrating technical applications into our outreach strategy, a critical component of the admissions office's efforts to recruitment and admission efforts. This leadership role supports the student engagement team by training staff and campus partners on utilizing Slate and building out communication plans to achieve high engagement with prospects and applicants. This position is focused on admissions communications, and support admissions travel, file review and admission event coverage.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Enrollment Communication and CRM Outreach & Management – 60%
  • In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, Student Engagement and Operations, develop and execute a cohesive strategy to promote and support event registration for all undergraduate students from prospect through enrollment.
  • Build and edit email templates to personalize messaging for recruitment activities; incorporate A/B testing to drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with members of the Admissions Student Engagement team to align messaging across various print, electronic and digital platform, email and SMS.
  • Develop detailed documentation of timelines and communication flow to be shared with admissions staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to admissions staff in their outreach efforts to support long and short-term goals of the office in student outreach to designated populations.
  • Manage and execute cohesive messaging across platforms to support recruitment activities to designated populations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions, Student Engagement and Operations to set priorities and support office initiatives.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of CRM tool to identify key metrics to measure the effectiveness of engagement efforts.
• Travel & Recruitment & File Review– 10%
  • Travel each fall and spring to represent the University at college fairs, high schools, and recruitment events as needed.
  • Manage an assigned recruitment territory by building relationships with prospective students, families, school counselors, and community partners.
  • Plan recruitment, travel and communicate with prospective students throughout the enrollment process.
  • Review and evaluate first-year undergraduate applications in accordance with University admissions policies.
  • Assess academic and holistic applicant credentials and make admissions recommendations.
  • Participate in committee discussions and support enrollment goals through thoughtful decision-making.
• Campus Visit Experience and Admission Events – 10%
  • Welcome prospective students and families to campus through information sessions, admissions interviews, and visit programs.
  • Serve as Counselor of the Day, responding to inquiries and providing admissions guidance.
  • Support recruitment events including Open Houses, Admitted Student programs, virtual events, webinars, and other outreach initiatives.
  • Assist with event planning, execution, and follow-up communications.
• Operations & Special Projects – 10%
  • Maintain accurate records in the University's CRM system.
  • Support departmental projects, operational initiatives, reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, combination of education and work experience. A degree in Communications, Marketing, Web Design, Creative Writing, English, or Journalism is also preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience using the CRM Slate Technolutions.
• 3-5 years of admissions or related experience working in a similar capacity within higher education.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Demonstrated commitment and experience working with diverse populations (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team to achieve common goals. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Excellent computer skills: CRM tools, MS Office, Adobe Suite Creative Suite and other technology applications.
• Demonstrated web experience understanding of Drupal and SEO best practices. Excellent analytical skills required; must be able to utilize data for decision making. Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments.

Other Requirements:

• Evening and weekend work required.

Compensation Pay Range:

$47,920.00 - $85,410.00
