Position Details

Job Title: Manager Nurse – Neonatal Pediatric Transport and NICU Support Operations
Facility: St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital
Location: Tampa, FL
Status: Full Time, Exempt: Yes
Shift Hours: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Position Summary

Demonstrates proficiency in all quality leadership skills; manages the care and transport of pediatric and neonatal patient populations and NICU support operations, applying expert critical-thinking skills in the clinical setting. Assumes 24-hour responsibility for the patient care unit and serves as a liaison among patients, team members, physicians, other customers, and administration. Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required.
• Experience: Minimum three years of RN clinical experience in a Level III NICU, PICU, or neonatal-pediatric transport setting, plus one of the following:
• Two years of healthcare leadership experience; or
• One year of nursing leadership experience with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and professional RN certification; or
• Two years of Nursing Professional Development Practitioner/Clinical Educator experience and six months of Assistant Nurse Manager experience.
• Licensure and Certifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

Nursing specialty certification preferred.
