Laboratory technician (material science)

Salary Range: $21.00 - $21.00 Hourly

EMSL is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician (Materials Science) in its Materials Science department in Cinnaminson, NJ. This role is hands on providing testing for various samples using microscopy. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of various samples (digestion, solvent extraction)
• Analysis of samples by ICP, ICPMS, HPLC, GCMS
• Generate analytical reports
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment as needed
• Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related science is required
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• 0 to 1 years experience working in a lab setting
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude

Available Shift: Position is full time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
