Medical Lab Scientist Position Overview

Seeking a qualified Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Technologist for a Free Standing Emergency Room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Point of Care Testing and will perform clerical duties as assigned to support operational needs.

• Number of Beds: 10
• Number of Staff: 6
• Staff Composition:
• Day Shift: 2 RNs, 1 Paramedic, 1 MD, 1 Radiologic Technologist, 1 MLS
• Night Shift: 2 RNs, 1 Paramedic, 1 MD, 1 Radiologic Technologist, 1 MLS
• Type of Equipment: Point of Care (POC)
• EMR System: Meditech

Responsibilities

• Conduct Point of Care Testing (POCT)
• Perform clerical duties as assigned by Nursing and Lab Director

Qualifications

Required: ASCP certification (MLS, CLS, or MT Medical Technologist) Must possess a full license, not an associate license

Preferred: Knowledge of Point of Care Testing

Work Schedule

Mixed weekends required No on-call duties

Any color of scrubs is permitted.
