Labor and Delivery LVN/LPN (Full-Time) - Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC)

Wisestaff is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN/LPN) for the Mother Baby Unit at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, TX.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

At least 1 year of full-time experience working as an LVN on a Labor & Delivery unit within the last 5 years. Qualifying experience must be clearly documented on your resume.

Schedule

FULL-TIME | 36 HOURS/WEEK

Three 12-hour shifts per week. Schedules are determined by BAMC facility leadership based on unit staffing and coverage needs. Every effort is made to group your shifts on consecutive days to support work-life balance, but the needs of the unit come first: schedulers keep the flexibility to space shifts or adjust days to cover critical staffing deficits, weekends, and holidays. Full availability is required, including rotating between day and night shifts every 3 months.

Important Start-Date Information

Because this position requires government security clearance, candidates should expect approximately 6 to 8 weeks after interview and approval to complete the clearance process and receive a start date.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of full-time experience working as an LVN on a Labor & Delivery unit within the last 5 years
• Qualifying experience must be clearly documented on your resume
• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program, or completion of equivalent military training that permits sitting for the state licensure exam
• Current, active, valid, and unrestricted LVN license from any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an American Heart Association or American Red Cross approved training program
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience preparing and recovering cesarean section surgical patients with both regional and general anesthesia
• Experience managing patients with postpartum Pitocin and insulin drips, and patients with postpartum epidurals
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship
• Must be able to pass a background check for government clearance
