Lab assistant ii/phlebotomist - ft

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of Laboratory Manager, performs clerical functions, specimen collection, specimen processing, and EKG procedures. Lab Assistant II performs the duties of a Phlebotomists and performs waived testing and Quality Control.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy course or an accredited medical assistant course; or
• 6 months laboratory experience and certification as a Health Care Assistant.
• Training in proper phlebotomy techniques required.
• Training and/or experience in clinical laboratory preferred.

Licensure & Certifications Requirements:

Requires Washington State DOH Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist credential within 6 months of hire. Certification in phlebotomy skills preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $19.72-$29.79
Incentive Compensation: Eligible for up to 5% of annual salary through the incentive program
