Who We Are

At the Virginia Beach SPCA (VBSPCA), we believe every animal deserves compassionate care, comfort, and the opportunity to find a loving home. For more than 60 years, we’ve been serving the Hampton Roads community through animal sheltering and adoptions, affordable veterinary care, and humane education. Our mission is simple but meaningful: to eliminate animal suffering while increasing human compassion. Every member of our team plays an important role in bringing that mission to life.

Why You’ll Enjoy Working With Us

• Make a Meaningful Impact - When you join the VBSPCA, you’re becoming part of a team that believes compassionate care can change lives — for animals and for the people who love them. Every day brings an opportunity to make a difference.
• Be Part of a Collaborative Team - You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated animal welfare professionals who share your passion for animals and their well-being. We believe in supporting one another, sharing knowledge, and creating an environment where everyone can contribute and grow.

What You’ll Do

As Kennel Manager, you’ll lead a team of dedicated animal care professionals and help create an environment where our adoptable canine population receives the highest standard of care. Along with overseeing the daily care of the kennel population, you will work closely with other organizational departments to maintain and develop a wide range of community programs. This is an active, hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys supporting a team, providing quality animal care, and making a meaningful difference in our community.
