Job Description

IT Systems and Support Specialist

Reports To: SVP, Enterprise Services

Job Type: Full Time

Who We Are

OneAscent is a family of companies committed to helping people align their financial decisions with their values—and we take that mission seriously. We're also a team that genuinely cares for each other and believes work should be a place where people thrive, not just perform. We're a growing, values-aligned RIA serving advisors and clients across the country, and we believe excellent work done with the right heart posture can change lives. Our culture is shaped by five core values we actually live out (not just hang on the wall): Kingdom-Focused Excellence, Humble (Big Team, Little Me), Hungry (Committed, Can-Do Attitude), Smart (Competent and Accountable), Client's Needs First—Always.

What It Takes to Win in This Role

End User Support & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day technology issues across OneAscent's employee base, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems efficiently and professionally.
  • Triage and respond to help desk tickets, escalating complex issues appropriately while maintaining clear communication with end users.
  • Provide hands-on and remote support for laptops, mobile devices, printers, video conferencing, and peripheral equipment.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service that reflects OneAscent's culture of care and excellence.

Device, Account & Access Management

  • Own the lifecycle of employee devices, including procurement, imaging, deployment, inventory tracking, and retirement.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access provisioning across Microsoft 365, identity management, and core business applications.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding technology tasks so new hires are fully equipped on day one and departing employees are fully deprovisioned on their last day.
  • Maintain accurate records of assets, licenses, and access rights.

Systems, Tools & Security Support

  • Support the administration of core business platforms including Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, CRM, and other firm-wide applications used across OneAscent.
  • Assist with the rollout of new technology, software updates, patches, and user training on new tools and features.
  • Partner with leadership to enforce IT policies, support security best practices, and help maintain compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to an RIA.
  • Document processes, build knowledge base articles, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential employee and firm information.
  • Ability to work onsite in Birmingham and respond to time-sensitive issues with urgency and ownership.
