Job Summary

Join RailPros as a Civil Engineer Intern and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of rail infrastructure. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design and development of rail projects. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience using industry-leading CAD software, and actively contribute to the success of ongoing projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in Design Development: Work closely with the rail design team to contribute to the development and enhancement of rail infrastructure projects. Collaborate with rail engineers on the creation of detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications.
• CAD Modeling and Drafting: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (Microstation) to create accurate and detailed models and drawings. Assist with ensuring designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Data Analysis: Assist in collecting and analyzing data relevant to rail projects.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers. Communicate effectively to convey ideas, progress, and challenges.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure designs are error-free and meet client standards.
• Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency with electronic communication (e-mail, text) and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Basic oral and written communication skills.

Required Education and Experience:

Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program. No prior experience.
