Infant Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience - Byron Center, MI

Pay: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Byron Center is looking for a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners.

Our Infant Teachers do much more than provide care. You'll support important developmental milestones, introduce babies to language, movement, sensory experiences, and play, and build trusting relationships with families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Infant classroom routines and learning experiences
  • Provide responsive, individualized care for each child
  • Support feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time, and developmental routines
  • Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
  • Engage infants through sensory exploration, music, movement, language, and play
  • Observe and document children's development and milestones
  • Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with families
  • Maintain a clean, safe, nurturing, and organized classroom
  • Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
  • Infant classroom experience strongly preferred
  • CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred
  • Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
  • Patient, dependable, nurturing, and collaborative
