What Does a Caregiver Do?

As an in-home caregiver, you help clients maintain their independence, comfort, dignity, and quality of life in their own homes. Depending on the client's needs, caregiving responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
• Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Providing medication reminders and support with daily routines

Caregiver Requirements

• Previous caregiving, home care, senior care, or personal care experience preferred
• Reliable transportation required
• Valid driver's license required
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to successfully pass a background check
• Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality care
