Idealease rental manager

Selking International and Selking Idealease is actively searching for an experienced, driven, customer-focused Rental Manager to lead the Rental Department at our Fort Wayne, IN Dealership.

Reports to: Idealease General Manager

What you’ll do:

• Run the day-to-day operations of the Idealease Rental Department and own its revenue, expense control and profitability goals
• Build and carry out a rental sales and marketing plan through phone outreach, mailers and in-person customer visits
• Grow and maintain relationships with high-volume rental customers
• Set competitive rental rates based on market analysis
• Manage the rental fleet, using daily yard checks to track utilization and focus sales efforts on under-used equipment
• Work closely with the Service Department to keep rental units maintained to company standards and DOT regulations
• Oversee check-in/check-out, customer and vehicle files, insurance verification, credit procedures and accurate, timely billing
• Hire, train and lead the rental sales and counter team
• Track monthly results against the business plan and help prepare the Annual Business Plan

Education, Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is strongly preferred
• Rental management experience strongly preferred, equipment, truck or vehicle rental a big plus
• Proven sales ability and a passion for customer service
• Leadership experience with the ability to hire, train and motivate a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with billing, records and reporting
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications
• Knowledge of commercial trucks, DOT regulations or the transportation industry is a plus but not required
