MORE THAN A JOB—A CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

As a Home Instead Caregiver, you’ll help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they call home. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Offering medication reminders
• Accompanying clients to appointments, errands, and social outings
• Promoting safety, comfort, dignity, and independence

We thoughtfully match Caregivers with clients based on their needs, your skills, and your location. We prefer candidates who live within approximately 15 miles of their potential clients.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and a registered, insured vehicle
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
• Willingness to complete required background checks, drug screening, and BCI check
• Willingness to transport your client for appointment and errands as needed

YOUR PATHWAY TO BECOMING A CNA!

Start as a Caregiver. Grow into a CNA. Build your future with Home Instead! We offer an opportunity for active Caregivers to attend our CNA Training School and develop the skills needed to advance their healthcare careers. Here’s how the program works:

• Classroom training: 80 hours over approximately 6–8 weeks
• Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Clinical training: 40 hours at a local healthcare facility, typically completed in one week
• Experienced instruction: Learn from a Registered Nurse
• Training support: Includes CPR training and assistance with state applications and testing requirements
• Career advancement: A pay increase upon obtaining your Rhode Island CNA license
