Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Guest Service & Operations Supervisor.

Job Purpose:

Responds in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services. Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.

About us

Royal Sun is a 66-room design-led property at the foot of the San Jacinto mountains. We're not a resort. We run cultural programming and events — live music, residencies, chef pop-ups. We work lean by design. Small team, everyone matters. It also means we hire for character as much as experience.

The role

A working supervisor role leading the front desk and helping hold the operation together day to day. You'd run check-ins and check-outs, reservations, guest requests and payments, and lead and train the front desk team on operations. You'd oversee night audit — making sure overnight procedures, reconciliation and reporting are done properly — and review the daily reports. You'd coordinate closely with housekeeping on room readiness and priorities, flag maintenance issues and follow them through, and step in on bar and F&B when we need it. You'd also support our events and programming — High Moon is our cultural living room and event space, and will open as a bar on Fridays and Saturdays. You'd run the property to our brand standards, working closely with the GM and the Head of Brand & Experience. The front desk is the first thing a guest experiences and the thing they remember.

What we're looking for

• Boutique, independent or lifestyle hotel experience.
• Supervisory experience. Night audit and rooms division both a real plus.
• Able to run things to our brand standards. Holding them is a key part of the role.
• Someone who can help build process rather than just follow it.
• Genuine character.
• Comfortable moving between things: a shift, a check-in, an event, a problem nobody anticipated.
• Steady when it's busy and when something goes wrong. Calm is the whole job some days.
• Hands on every day. Not directing from a distance — on the desk, on the floor, in it with the team.

Hours

This is a 24/7 hotel, so the role includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with occasional overnight cover. We'll always give as much notice as we can.

What this isn't

A big-property role with a department behind you. You'd be close to everything, including the parts that we are building.
