The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for performing operational tasks, maintaining studio cleanliness, and instructing various group exercise classes at the LaHaye Recreation and Fitness Center. They will ensure that all policies are followed by guests and that all safety measures are being implemented at the facility.
Must be a current Liberty University student, able to work up to 18 hours per week, available to work a variety of different shifts (weekends, early morning, afternoon, late night), and current CPR/AED and First Aid certified. Experience in a customer service position, desire to pursue recreation management as a career field, and current group fitness certification (ACE, ACSM, AFAA) is preferred.
Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills. Regularly lift 45 or fewer pounds.
