Luxury Resort seeks an Executive Sushi Chef to develop and open a high-end omakase concept in Telluride.

Qualifications: High-end omakase experience required, with exceptional sushi technique, product knowledge, creativity, and menu-development capabilities. Restaurant opening experience required, with hands-on pre-opening, concept development, kitchen setup, and operational readiness experience strongly preferred. Michelin restaurant experience highly valued but not required; traditional Japanese, omakase, or progressive fine-dining backgrounds considered. Strong English communication, leadership, and team-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with ownership and culinary leadership.

Responsibilities: Develop the culinary identity, omakase menu, recipes, sourcing strategy, preparation standards, and overall dining experience for a new high-end concept. Lead culinary pre-opening development, kitchen planning, vendor relationships, product sourcing, systems, and operational readiness for the planned July 2027 opening. Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing culinary team while establishing standards for technique, execution, consistency, food quality, and hospitality. Collaborate closely with ownership and culinary leadership to create a distinctive concept centered on exceptional ingredients, craftsmanship, and guest experience.
