Reporting to the Associate Provost for Academic Planning, the Executive Director of Extended Studies provides visionary, entrepreneurial, and operational leadership for a significant $88M portfolio of revenue-generating credit and non-credit academic programs serving pre-college, undergraduate, graduate, and professional learners. The Executive Director will shape and implement a comprehensive strategy to expand access, drive sustainable growth, and position Extended Studies as a catalyst for innovation and impact. By cultivating strategic partnerships and championing entrepreneurial thinking, the Executive Director plays a central role in advancing institutional priorities by extending the University of Maryland’s reach locally, nationally, and globally.
Standard office environment with the expectation of regular engagement across campus and with external partners. Evening work or occasional travel may be required to support meetings, events, partnerships, and other strategic activities.
