Event Marketing Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA (on-site, 5 days/week)

Type: Full-time

Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 base + competitive equity

About the Company

We're a fast-growing, well-funded AI startup taking on one of the largest and most traditional industries in the world. Our small, high-caliber team has already reached significant scale and revenue in under a year, with more demand than we can currently service. We're backed by top-tier venture capital and are looking for our first dedicated events hire to help build a proven growth channel into something bigger.

About the Role

We're looking for an Events Marketing Manager to help scale a growth channel that's already working for us. You'll partner closely with our team to sharpen how we show up at industry events — and eventually help us build and launch events of our own. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone early in their career who wants to grow the events function at a company with strong momentum.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the team to understand what's working in our current events motion and find ways to make it more effective
  • Help plan and execute event strategy — from choosing which events to attend or sponsor, to managing logistics, booth materials, and swag
  • Refresh and elevate event assets and collateral to reflect our brand
  • Support pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up to help convert event activity into pipeline
  • Help identify and stand up owned event formats (think intimate dinners, roundtables) as a first step toward hosting our own event down the line

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of experience in events, ideally within hospitality (hotels, hospitality groups, or similar) — new grads from strong hospitality programs are welcome to apply
  • A degree from a top hospitality program with a concentration in events or hotel management (e.g., Cornell Hotel School, École Hôtelière de Lausanne, UNLV, Boston University), or comparable hands-on experience
  • Exposure to owning pieces of an event end-to-end — from planning through on-site execution — rather than logistics alone on a large team
  • A scrappy, hands-on mindset; comfort working in a fast-moving, resource-lean environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage vendors and budgets independently
  • Willingness to be in-office five days a week in San Francisco and to travel for on-site event execution

Nice to Have

  • Experience that spans startups and hospitality (e.g., wineries, breweries, boutique hotel groups)
  • Exposure to institutional or investor-facing events

Interview Process

  • Hiring Manager Interview (45 min)
  • Take-Home Case Study (48-hour turnaround)
  • Case Study Review (45 min)
  • Team Interview (45 min)
  • On-Site Work Trial (half day)
  • Offer
