Enterprise Account Specialist

The Enterprise Special Services team is rapidly growing and seeking a highly skilled and motivated Account Specialist to enhance the shipper experience for vendors and sellers. In this role, you work directly with shippers to analyze performance, identify defects, and implement solutions that improve shipper performance metrics. You support continuous innovation in transportation and logistics by evaluating network shipper defects, providing coaching, and driving performance management, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and top customers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, verify, and present transportation and shipper performance data on a daily basis.
• Overcome transportation disruptions and other operational barriers in real time to maintain service levels.
• Identify root causes of transportation defects and recommend actionable solutions.
• Maintain detailed daily logs for assigned shippers, capturing issues, actions, and outcomes.
• Lead weekly calls with assigned shippers to review performance, discuss challenges, and align on improvement plans.
• Lead Daily Business Review stand-up calls to share updates, highlight risks, and coordinate actions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with shippers to create tailored solutions that improve performance metrics and overall shipper experience.
• Coach shippers on best practices in logistics, transportation, and supply chain processes to reduce defects.
• Use Excel spreadsheets to navigate, interpret, and present data in a clear and meaningful way.
• Write documents and proposals focused on process improvement and operational enhancements.
• Manage disruptions as they occur, working through lowest-cost providers and alternative options where appropriate.
• Build strong relationships with shippers and internal partners to support long-term collaboration and success.
• Organize and prioritize multiple accounts and tasks to ensure timely follow-up and issue resolution.
• Communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams, providing clear updates and expectations.

Essential Skills

• Approximately 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a closely related environment preferred.
• Understanding of basic data analytical skills, including the ability to interpret performance metrics and trends.
• Experience writing documents on topics such as process improvement proposals and operational recommendations.
• Entry-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with familiarity using spreadsheets to navigate and interpret data.
• Strong account management and customer service capabilities, with a focus on vendor and shipper support.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in logistics, transportation, intermodal operations, or supply chain contexts.
• Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple accounts, meetings, and daily logs simultaneously.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain or logistics is beneficial, though candidates from other industries with strong interpersonal and organizational skills are also well suited.
• Experience in relationship-driven roles such as event coordination, party planning, real estate, sales, or restaurant operations can translate effectively into this position.
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment with minimal ramp-up time.
• Comfort working with top-tier customers and navigating complex, dynamic operational scenarios.
• Interest in transportation, logistics, and intermodal operations, with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and participate in regular business review and performance calls.
• Motivation to grow into long-term opportunities and potential full-time roles within a large-scale logistics environment.

Work Environment

This role is 100% on-site, providing direct exposure to a dynamic transportation and logistics operation. You work closely with internal teams and top customers in a fast-paced environment where real-time problem solving and frequent communication are part of the daily routine. The position offers structured support and training for technical aspects of the role, along with opportunities to build strong professional relationships and gain experience in enterprise-level supply chain and transportation operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
