Madrone is building the thermal infrastructure required for artificial intelligence to tackle humanity’s most complex challenges - from curing cancer to achieving room-temperature superconductivity.
Power is the primary constraint on data center growth, and currently up to 40% of power is lost to cooling at current GW-scale sites.
Madrone’s first product is a modular, hyper-efficient facility water cooling system for hyperscale data centers. It allows cooling to the dew point, lower than anyone else can without using mechanical chillers.
We’re assembling an exceptional team to push the frontier of heat rejection on Earth.
We are hiring Engineering Technicians to turn designs into working hardware. You will build and test prototypes, assemble sensors and wire harnesses, set up our warehouse and test space, receive large equipment at the heart of our product.
This is a physical, hands-on role. On a given day, you might assemble a piping loop, move a heat exchanger into place, terminate a sensor cable, check electrical connections, troubleshoot a leak, or help run a system test. You will work closely with our engineers and founders, and what you observe during builds and tests will directly improve the design.
Experience building, installing, maintaining, or testing physical equipment. Trade, manufacturing, lab, field-service, and equivalent hands-on experience all count.
Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment, including a multimeter.
Practical plumbing or fluid-system experience, including fittings, valves, pumps, and leak testing.
Experience with wiring, connectors, sensors, or electrical assembly, or an interest in developing those skills.
The ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and written procedures, and to document work clearly.
Sound judgment when moving heavy equipment and working around pressurized water, electricity, and operating machinery.
A careful, resourceful approach to troubleshooting.
Willingness to take on both precision assembly and the everyday work of setting up a growing hardware operation.
Any of the following would be valuable, but none is individually required:
Madrone is committed to fostering an inclusive and meritocratic workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Applicants requiring reasonable accommodation to the application/interview process should notify our Human Resources Department.
