Engineer

Purpose of job: To provide engineering services to Utilimap’s customers along with directing data entry staff.

Description: Utilimap Engineers must be able to correctly analyze building plans and blue prints associated with Utility poles and other power equipment. Engineers must remain current in trending engineering activities. A typical work week is Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with a one hour lunch break. Occasional overtime is necessary, depending on work load and schedule.

Key Knowledge, Skills and abilities:

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree from credible university
• 5 years engineering experience in Utilities Industry
• Knowledge of industry-related software and hardware
• Ability to sit at respective work station for 8 or more hours a day
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and avoid errors
• Advanced computer skills
• Ability to understand Utilimap’s field operations
• Ability to lead staff of data entry personnel in the Pole Load division.
