Manufacturing Engineer I

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support our manufacturing operations at Advanced Bionics. In this role, you will help ensure the quality and safety of manufacturing processes while supporting yield improvements, product dispositions, assembly procedures, and process and equipment validations. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams including Manufacturing, NPI, and R&D.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and yields
• Execute risk-based/FMEA process validations and prepare technical reports
• Troubleshoot production processes and equipment
• Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma approaches
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and process automation
• Complete time studies to help determine production capacity
• Provide DFM feedback to product design teams
• Train production employees on new or updated procedures
• Support internal and external audits
• Evaluate new proposals, including cost-benefit analysis and implementation planning

More about you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 1 year of Manufacturing Engineering experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Previous medical device experience and knowledge of regulatory compliance and product quality, preferred.

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.

This role's pay range is between: $79,200 – $99,000 annually. This role is also commission eligible/bonus eligible.
