Position Details

Job Title: Direct Support Professional I & II

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $19.50 /hr. with DSP certificates

Shifts: Full-Time PM Shifts 2PM to 10PM (Friday – Monday)

Location: La Puente, CA 91744

Work Setting: One Location (Not Remote)

What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional II, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, supporting independence, health, and personal growth. Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting with hygiene, grooming, dietary, and dressing needs
• Supporting clients with bathroom needs
• Changing clothing/undergarments when necessary
• Preparing meals and completing cleanup
• Following daily routines outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP)
• Redirecting behaviors through activities like walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks
• Providing safe transportation in company vans when required

Every day, you’ll help create a supportive, structured, and empowering environment for the individuals you serve.

Education & Experience Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid

Experience: 1 year of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental health conditions (e.g., Bipolar) strongly preferred

Driving Requirements:

Valid in-state driver’s license

Must be 21+

Current registration & insurance

Driving record with no more than 2 points in the past 3 years

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
