The Director of Community Programs and Partnerships will collaboratively develop a strategy to increase the impact and presence of Girl Scouts in priority areas (Philadelphia, Reading, Lehigh Valley, Delaware County). This role will manage a team of Community Program Managers that are responsible for recruiting, establishing and managing Community Troops and special programs, including Camp for a Day programming during the school year and in the summer. This includes recruiting and securing community organizations and schools to participate, onboarding, ongoing communication, documentation, training, monitoring and support throughout the organization’s/school experience. This position will also support the design, management, and logistics for curriculum/programmatic elements (including badges, trips, cookies, etc.).

The Director of Community Programs and Partnership will also be responsible for establishing new partnerships and ensuring current partner satisfaction. Additionally, this role is accountable to ensure a strong, outcome-based experience for participants.

Finally, this team member will actively collaborate with multiple departments including Community Engagement, Recruitment and Placement, Training and Support, Member Services, Marketing and Comminutions, Product Program, Business Operations, Strategy and Data, Finance and Fund Development to leverage resources and support for Community Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

As Director of Community Programs and Partnerships, you’ll lead the strategy, growth, and delivery of GSEP’s Community Programming while managing and developing a team of Community Program Managers. You’ll build and strengthen partnerships with schools and community organizations, oversee Community Troops, Series, and Camp for a Day programming, and ensure partners and girls receive a consistent, high-quality experience. Using membership, program, and partner data, you’ll identify opportunities for expansion, strengthen program systems and resources, support leader training and the Community Troop Cookie Program, and collaborate across GSEP to expand access to Girl Scouting in priority communities.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience, with 5+ years of related experience in program design, development, implementation, or management.
• Passion for girl leadership and the Girl Scout mission, with a commitment to serving as a GSEP ambassador, modeling GSEP’s Operational Core Values.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to guide staff, manage performance, establish priorities, and support successful execution of program and partnership goals.
• Demonstrated experience designing, managing, and evaluating programs and complex projects, with the ability to simultaneously oversee multiple initiatives, priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Strong partnership and stakeholder-management skills, with experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with community organizations, schools, volunteers, funders, and other internal and external partners.
• Experience managing or working closely with volunteers with an understanding of how to effectively engage and support volunteers in advancing organizational and program goals.
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion into program design, partnerships, procedures, decision-making, and approaches to community engagement.
• Process-oriented and solutions-focused, with demonstrated experience evaluating existing practices, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing sustainable, organization-wide systems and processes.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to build consensus, influence others, and navigate competing priorities among diverse stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, establish short- and long-term goals, meet deadlines, anticipate next steps, and operate effectively with limited day-to-day oversight.
• Highly proficient in using data to evaluate program effectiveness, monitor performance, identify trends and opportunities, inform decision-making, and communicate outcomes through multi-level reporting.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse internal and external audiences, representing GSEP professionally in the community.
• Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to take ownership of performance-related goals and foster positive experiences for girls, families, volunteers, partners, and community stakeholders.
• Strong technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and experience working with databases; experience with Salesforce and Looker preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve council-wide goals while understanding and consistently applying GSEP policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and established standards of work.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support programs, partnerships, events, and organizational priorities.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of current automobile insurance required.
