As a Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineering here at Honeywell, you will lead and drive advanced manufacturing strategies and initiatives that shape the future of our manufacturing operations. You will oversee a talented team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, foster innovation, and achieve operational excellence.

You will report directly to Senior Engineering Director of the Navigation and sensors network, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a five day work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the company by driving innovation, operational excellence, and cost efficiencies in manufacturing operations. Your leadership in optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing cutting-edge technologies, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives will enhance productivity, improve product quality, and increase customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for advanced manufacturing engineering initiatives
• Develop and implement advanced manufacturing strategies to drive innovation and operational excellence
• Lead and manage a team of engineers to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiencies
• Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

QUALIFICATIONS

YOU MUST HAVE:

• BS in Engineering or related technical field
• 10+ years of aerospace manufacturing engineering and/or project engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience leading manufacturing and/or engineering teams

WE VALUE:

• Proven experience with manufacturing process improvement or product/business development
• High bias for action and integrative problem-solving skills
• Experience with industrial financial systems
• Six Sigma and/or Lean Certified
• Expert coach to team members to increase technical and leadership capability
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize near term commitments while also driving sustainable transformation to significantly improve the foundational methods in our business
• Ability to focus teams to drive the highest impact methods as a priority and manage a rigorous operating system to ensure objectives are accomplished as planned
• Proven ability to build a team; attract, retain and engage talented team members
