  • Carry out behavioral supports and help residents access the community
  • Use safety procedures and equipment (gait belts, gloves, masks, seat belts) and make sure others do too
  • Advocate for residents’ rights, dignity, and privacy
  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or mistreatment immediately. If in doubt, report.
  • Notify a supervisor right away of any condition that could create an unsafe situation (injury, illness, intoxication)

Support needs vary by home, department, and resident. The full job description is available on request.

Requirements

  • Ability to complete paid training classes within 90 days of hire
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lift or move 50 pounds
  • To drive for the company: age 21 or older, clean driving record, and valid insurance

Schedule

  • Days: 7a–3p or 8a–4p
  • Evenings: 3p–9p or 4p–12a
  • Set shift assigned at hire. Any change is arranged with your supervisor.
  • Online schedule available 24/7
  • Part-time, 16–24 hours per week. Full-time may be available on request.

Pay

  • $17.50 per hour, depending on department
  • Training pay increases at 6, 12, and 18 months
  • Annual merit raises starting at 2 years

Benefits

  • Paid vacation and sick time, accrued after 6 months
  • Medical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance (varies by position)
  • 401(k) after 1 year, with Developmental Options matching up to 5%
