You get to create, execute, and keep the work moving.
Marketing has not yet fully translated our tech-forward and driver-first advantage into how the brand shows up every day—on the website, in social, in video, in events and in the materials our teams use.
That’s the opportunity. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be the strategic force and operational backbone for paid digital initiatives. You will execute campaigns with intention through compelling visual content and tight planning. You’ll use your expertise to run and maintain targeted campaigns to nurture leads. You’ll know where to allocate spend to maximize results, while keeping assets fresh, tailoring creative in accordance with data-backed wins. You will keep initiatives optimized, on deadline, and running smoothly in a lean, PE-backed environment that rewards ownership and speed.
2–4 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads, Meta Ads, WordPress, and CRM/email marketing, with strong analytical skills and a focus on measurable results.
Proficiency with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and campaign performance reporting.
Experience managing monthly paid-media budgets of approximately $15,000–$25,000 and optimizing for measurable results.
Working knowledge of WordPress, website content updates, SEO, and landing page optimization using HubSpot or other CRMs.
Experience with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot including lead tracking and campaign automation.
Google Ads certifications (such as Search or Measurement) preferred.
Familiarity with Google Ads Editor, SEMrush, Optmyzr, or similar optimization tools is a plus.
Desirable skills: basic HTML/CSS, SEO, landing page optimization, and marketing automation.
The role supports digital lead generation for both customer acquisition and owner-operator recruiting, with distinct audiences, conversion funnels, and performance metrics.
Take ownership of execution, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions even when data is incomplete.
Maintain strong attention to detail across campaign setup, tracking, account organization, and ongoing optimization.
Stay curious and current with evolving advertising platforms, digital tools, and best practices.
Prioritize effectively across multiple campaigns, deadlines, and competing business needs.
Communicate clearly and proactively with Marketing, Sales Operations, and other stakeholders.
Pay: $50,000 – $75,000 per year.

Roadrunner is for ambitious, smart people who excel at execution over talking about it, and who would rather invent the next standard in freight than accept the status quo. We are looking for the Best of the Best. Action driven leaders who want to be part of real change and help design the future of LTL in the U.S. This is a place where high performers can grow, influence outcomes, and make an impact while working directly with executives and smart people from across industries.
We bring a winner mindset. We take ownership, raise the bar, and measure ourselves by results. We Run Safe. We Run Smart. We Run Together. These principles create an environment of high standards, clear ownership, and direct collaboration. We trust data over intuition, move with urgency, and hold each other accountable because winning requires it.
Roadrunner exists to prove that LTL can be better than the industry has settled for. To be the best means we need to think bigger, look outside the box, and question every assumption: too many handoffs, limited visibility, and the quiet belief that “this is just how it works.” We rejected that story. We built a proprietary Smart Network™ for direct, long haul, metro to metro service that delivers fewer touches, faster transit, real time visibility, and genuine accountability. We are the most tech forward company in LTL, and we are not finished widening the gap.
The foundation is already strong. Recognized as one of Built In Chicago’s Best Large Places to Work. Earning top marks for improvement, quality, and service. The real opportunity is still ahead: helping invent what comes next.
If you want to be evaluated among the Best of the Best and help set the new standard in LTL, we should talk.
