Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain the project cost control system based on the approved contract value and tender estimate.
  • Provide accurate visibility of project commitments, expenditures, and forecasted final cost.
  • Ensure alignment between cost tracking, project schedule progress, and contractual baselines.
  • Identify cost risks and opportunities early and support management in implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain consistent cost reporting in accordance with project controls and financial governance requirements.
  • Ensure project costs are recorded and forecasted in accordance with contractual definitions of reimbursable, non‑reimbursable, and disallowed costs (as applicable) under the GMP framework.
  • Support open‑book cost transparency and audit readiness expectations typical of hyperscale clients.
  • Support cost reporting practices that work in concert with applicable GAAP/IFRS and the project’s defined cost accounting methodology.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, construction management or equivalent project cost control experience.
  • 7–12 years of experience in cost control or project accounting for large-scale construction or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting, integrated performance measurement and earned value analysis consistent with ANSI/EIA‑748 principles.
  • Experience supporting GMP or cost‑reimbursable contracts with open‑book cost transparency and audit expectations.
  • Exposure to cost accounting considerations in cost control (e.g., alignment of cost categorization, WBS/CBS structures, and reconciliation of internal/external reporting views) preferred.
  • Proven experience interfacing with project, finance, and contract teams to maintain cost integrity.
  • Proficient in cost control systems, ERP tools, and data analysis.
  • Experience supporting large-scale data center or mission-critical facility projects preferred.

Preferred

  • Professional certification in Cost Control or Project Controls (AACE CCP or equivalent).
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
