This position requires office presence.
Shift schedule: 5x8 Day shift; Mon-Fri; 06:00-14:30 local time.
Shift assignments are part of the 24/7/365 coverage requirements.

AT&T is seeking a mid-level Data Center Specialist to support mission‑critical IT services for Intelligence Sector customers.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the data center, including monitoring system performance, capacity management, and ensuring uptime of critical infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance on servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Identify and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other teams to address complex problems and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of data center configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Update knowledge base articles and operational manuals as needed.
• Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and generate reports on key metrics.
• Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing security measures to protect data center assets.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and IT support staff, to ensure seamless operations and project execution.
• Participate in data center projects, including hardware upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
• Provide technical expertise and support during project implementation.

Required Clearance:

TS/SCI with Poly (#tssci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications:

Career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of experience. Additional years of experience or higher education may be substituted for degree or experience requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

Certifications (Preferred): Must presently be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred); or must be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary computing environment (CE) certification

Our Data Center Specialist Mid's earn between $79,300 -$122,637. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
