The pay for this position starts at $21.53/hour, with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $25.04/hour.

This position is located in Rutland, MA.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Based in Rutland, MA, the Devereux Day School serves individuals age 6 through 21 who present with issues such as disruptive behaviors, mood/anxiety disorders, complex trauma, or abuse-reactive behaviors. You could be a part of an exceptional team of staff who support the needs of students in grades K-12 and beyond as they work towards diplomas and learn vocational, transitional, and social-emotional skills. Our students have typically experienced multiple academic failures, most often resulting from a wide variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The help you provide will make a difference in their lives!

As an Cosmetology Project Trainer, you will:

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive cosmetology curriculum that aligns with state standards and industry requirements.
• Instruct students in various cosmetology techniques, including hair cutting, coloring, styling, skincare, makeup application, and nail technology.
• Collaborate with industry professionals and local salons to provide students with job shadowing, internships, and employment opportunities.
• Maintain a well-equipped and sanitized classroom and salon environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and community outreach events.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Drivers License
• High School diploma or GED required,
• Valid cosmetology license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in the cosmetology field, including salon experience required
• 2+ years experience working with youth populations within Special Education environments preferred
