Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

At ATC, we believe strong communities and a reliable electric grid go hand in hand. As a Public Engagement Program Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in helping people understand how transmission infrastructure supports economic growth, reliability, and the energy future of the communities we serve. This is more than a communications role. It's an opportunity to influence public understanding, build stakeholder trust, and help advance critical infrastructure projects that power homes, businesses, and communities across our region. ATC embraces flexibility in our work and our workplace. We trust our employees to get work done where and when it makes sense, depending on the schedule for the day and the needs of the business. However, this role is not 100% remote and would require relocation to Wisconsin.

Essential Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

As ATC's Public Engagement Program Manager, you'll lead integrated communication and stakeholder engagement strategies that strengthen ATC's reputation, establish social media followership and engagement, support transmission infrastructure initiatives, and foster meaningful dialogue with diverse audiences.

  • Lead public engagement strategy
  • Drive digital communications excellence
  • Create compelling content
  • Strengthen stakeholder relationships
  • Measure impact and drive improvement

What You’ll Bring

We're looking for a collaborative communications professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and enjoys building relationships as much as creating impactful content.

  • Experience developing and executing digital communication strategies
  • Strong content creation, storytelling, and editorial planning expertise
  • Experience managing website content strategy, and digital platforms
  • A track record of communicating complex information in clear and engaging ways
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, Political Science, Public Affairs, or a related field.

The Impact You'll Make

Success in this role means more than delivering communications. It means helping communities understand the importance of energy infrastructure, supporting successful project outcomes, strengthening stakeholder trust, and advancing ATC's mission through transparent, data-driven, and meaningful engagement. If you're passionate about strategic communications, relationship building, digital engagement, and making a lasting impact on the future of energy, we encourage you to apply. Join ATC and help connect communities to a stronger energy future.
