Position Summary

The Concession Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Concessions Manager in the overall effective management and running of concession operations. The Concession Supervisor oversees the food preparation and production, inventory, cash control procedures, total compliance with alcohol service policies, cleaning, safety, guest service, employee/volunteer supervision, and closing duties. The Concession Supervisor will provide limited oversight of employee performance issues and direct any issues to the Concessions Manager, Human Resources, and/or the General Manager. Focus will be on lending support to the location’s Stand Leads to ensure that all aspects of concessions operations within their assigned sector are fully operational. The majority of the Concession Supervisor’s time will be spent actively mentoring, training, and helping employees and volunteers to meet company quality standards and promoting a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. This is a key position for the effective operation of our business; the employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. The Concession Supervisor is assigned to a specific geographical sector of the venue when more than one Supervisor is on shift. In order to monitor all assigned locations, extensive and continuous walking and standing are required. The Concession Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. A critical aspect of this position is the Supervisor’s ability to instill a positive and enthusiastic quality into the work environment, consistent with the prevailing atmosphere of the sports and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Take pride in personal appearance, reporting to work in neat and clean clothing and maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy.
• Responsible for ensuring the set-up of all concession locations within the assigned sector has been completed prior to doors opening.
• Monitor alcohol service throughout events to ensure 100% compliance with the venue’s alcohol service policy, RAMP, and PLCB regulations.
• Responsible for ensuring effective operation of location during events: monitor inventory/product levels; anticipate extra stock/product; oversee employee breaks, sign-in/out sheets, and employee meals; uniform distribution, collection, and laundering; uniform compliance; health-code enforcement (handwashing, gloves, hairnets, hats); ensure designated number of POS are open.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative workplace environment by working side-by-side with staff and volunteers; reinforce procedures and practices through repetition; lead by example, and provide ongoing constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced food and beverage environment or applicable education/experience.
• Ability to supervise the work of others.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers, and guests.
