Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$34.170 - $44.090 - $49.370

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

The Compensation Analyst provides analytical and operational support to the Compensation Center of Excellence. This role assists in conducting compensation audits, evaluating job data, salary survey submission, and preparing rate recommendations based on internal equity. The position supports Compensation tasks including but not limited to: job evaluation activities, annual market analyses, and other compensation programs while developing foundational knowledge of compensation principles and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources or related field.
2 Years experience in compensation, HR operations, or HR analytics in a large complex organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare industry experience.
Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) - HR Certification Institute - PREFERRED
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) - World at Work - PREFERRED

Essential Functions

Data Management, Audits and Systems Administration

Conducts compensation audits to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established guidelines. Reviews employee pay data, identifies discrepancies, and partners with HR teams to resolve issues. Performs routine data integrity reviews and supports maintenance of compensation systems, tools, and reporting resources.

Salary Surveys and Market Data Analysis

Assists with salary survey participation by gathering job data, matching positions, validating information, and submitting survey data. Compiles and analyzes market benchmark data to support compensation studies, market reviews, and salary structure assessments. Supports annual market analyses by evaluating external competitiveness, internal alignment, and pay compression indicators. Assists in developing reports and recommendations for salary structure and pay range updates.

Rate Recommendations and Compensation Administration

Prepares compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers, and other employee transactions in accordance with compensation guidelines and pay equity practices. Reviews, approves, and processes compensation-related transactions, including employment offers and one-time payments, ensuring timely completion and compliance with established compensation guidelines. Applies established compensation policies, practices, and methodologies to support consistent pay decisions. Partners with Compensation team members to ensure alignment with organizational compensation programs and objectives.

Job Description Management and Job Evaluation

Drafts, reviews, and updates job descriptions in partnership with leaders and HR teams. Ensures job descriptions meet organizational standards for content, formatting, job leveling, titling, and documentation. Validates required certifications, licenses, competencies, and organizational hierarchy relationships. Maintains job description records within the system of record and ensures timely completion of related workflows. Supports managers and HR leaders with organizational restructures, job evaluations, market analyses, and job description updates.

Reporting and Administrative Support

Prepares compensation reports, analyses, spreadsheets, and summary materials. Maintains documentation and tracking logs related to salary surveys, job evaluations, market reviews, and compensation recommendations. Coordinates annual collection of supporting compensation resources, including scope data, budget books, and fact sheets. Maintains shared compensation resources, folders, and reference tools, including the Nursing Equity Matrix.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and/or HRIS programs. Ability to interact with all levels management and influence decisions in a manner that is viewed as positive and non-directive. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and ability to gather and analyze data.
