Nursing personnel maintain open communication, coordinate workload and leave coverage, cross-train in appropriate functions, and promptly communicate unresolved clinical risks. Team members share responsibility for equipment readiness, accurate documentation, timely follow-up, and reliable escalation while retaining individual accountability for tasks they perform. Nurses participate in shared governance through team meetings, improvement initiatives, research studies, committee activities, and recommendations to clinical leadership. Shared governance supports staff input and does not replace institutional decision-making or supervisory authority.
