Clinic Manager

Full-Time Exempt Pay range: $75,000 - $110,000 DOE (Most candidates will fall in the mid-range)

Reports to: Director of Clinical Services

Location: North Pod Clinics (Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, and Broomfield). Must be willing to travel to each location.

Position Summary

Gastroenterology of the Rockies is a rapidly growing gastroenterology practice serving Boulder County and the greater Denver Metro area, with seven clinic locations and five Ambulatory Surgery Centers. We are seeking an experienced Clinic Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of four busy gastroenterology clinics. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, supporting high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and providing effective leadership to clinical and administrative staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of three gastroenterology clinic locations, ensuring appropriate staffing, workflow, and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and manage clinical and administrative staff, excluding providers, including scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
  • Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and operational standards to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS guidelines.
  • Assist with the development and management of clinic budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Oversee clinic facilities and equipment and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and other operational needs in a timely manner.
  • Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives to promote patient safety, quality of care, and consistent clinic operations.
  • Promote excellent patient service by monitoring patient satisfaction, addressing concerns and complaints, and implementing improvements when appropriate.
  • Monitor and analyze clinic performance metrics, staffing needs, workflows, and other operational data to identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, providers, and leadership regarding clinic operations, challenges, priorities, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support organizational initiatives and operational changes across assigned clinic locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of healthcare management experience, preferably within a gastroenterology, specialty, or multi-site medical practice.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising clinical and/or administrative healthcare staff.
  • Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and clinical practice operations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with physicians, clinical staff, administrative staff, and organizational leadership.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and effectively oversee operations across multiple locations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant healthcare and business software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to remain seated for extended periods, with occasional standing and walking. The position requires regular use of a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment. The role requires frequent use of the hands, wrists, and fingers and sufficient visual acuity to perform activities such as reviewing and analyzing data, preparing reports and documents, working at a computer, and reading.
