CIVIL ENGINEERS- Not all engineering jobs shape a city, but this one does. Come and lead the team that designs the infrastructure that keeps Sherwood moving—today and for generations to come. If you’re passionate about public service and smart infrastructure, this is your chance to make a visible impact.
The City of Sherwood is seeking an experienced and innovative City Engineer to join our leadership team and help drive the city’s vision for smart growth, modern infrastructure, and exceptional quality of life for our residents.
As the City Engineer, you will oversee and guide engineering design, planning, and construction for public infrastructure, including streets, drainage, utilities, and capital improvement projects. You’ll provide expert technical direction, manage projects from concept to completion, and ensure Sherwood’s growth is supported by safe, sustainable, and forward-thinking infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role that works closely with city administration, elected officials, developers, and residents — blending technical expertise with collaboration, communication, and innovation.
Located just minutes from Little Rock, Sherwood is a thriving, family-friendly community known for its vibrant neighborhoods, beautiful parks, and forward-looking leadership. Here, your work directly enhances the daily lives of residents — from improving public safety to supporting economic development and quality of life. Join a city that values innovation, integrity, and impact — and where your engineering expertise will truly make a difference.
Apply Today! Use the online application if you'd like, or send your CV to the Director of Human Resources, Jill Ross at Jdross@sherwoodar.gov.
