This is an opportunity to shape the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of training that supports more than 23,000 law enforcement officers and other personnel performing police duties across the Commonwealth.
MPTC sets police training standards for officers certified by the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission (POST) and develops, delivers, and maintains records for high-quality, standardized, community-oriented training. You will oversee training operations at MPTC facilities, coordinate with municipal police academies, strengthen quality assurance, and build productive relationships with law enforcement agencies and regional partners. You will also work closely with MPTC executive leadership to help set and implement agency direction, philosophies, and policies, while representing MPTC on advisory boards, committees, and working groups. Regular statewide travel is an important part of this role.
