Chemical Analyst – Owensboro, KY

Your Day-to-Day

• Perform analytical testing using gas chromatography (GC), ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), and ion chromatography.
• Prepare and extract samples according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct routine and non-routine microbiological testing.
• Review, interpret, and report analytical results using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for analytical projects and testing activities.
• Support Production, Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Leaf Operations.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
• Assist Senior Analytical Chemists, Analytical Chemists, Senior Chemical Analysts, and Chemical Analysts as needed.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for validated analytical methods and procedures.
• Apply method validation principles and ISO 17025 requirements in daily laboratory operations.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the Chemical Analysis Supervisor or Manager.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a comparable laboratory role.
• Knowledge of chemical laboratory safety practices, analytical techniques, and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of microbiological procedures and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and product quality.
• Must be able to work the following schedule: Saturday & Sunday (12:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) and Monday & Tuesday (12:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Annual Base Salary Range

$73,600 - $92,000
