Your job is more than a job.
At Touro Hospital, one of New Orleans' most trusted destinations for women's healthcare, we're looking for a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our growing team. For generations, families have chosen Touro for exceptional maternity care, and today our Family Birthing Center continues that legacy by providing personalized, family-centered care supported by advanced maternal services and a collaborative team of physicians, nurses, and midwives.
Whether supporting low-risk pregnancies, partnering in complex maternal care, or guiding women through every stage of life, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while practicing at a hospital recognized for excellence in maternal health and women's services. Touro's Family Birthing Center offers collaborative care with OB/GYN physicians and certified nurse midwives, advanced resources for high-risk pregnancies, and a patient-centered environment designed around the needs of mothers and babies.
The Certified Nurse Midwife provides care in an advanced practice nursing role under approved protocols and within the scope authorized by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and the American Midwifery Certification Board. The CNM manages nurse midwifery care of women throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, provides gynecologic and primary care services for women across their lifespan, and delivers care to newborns.
