Who Are You?

As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) on our Assisted Living 1st Shift team, you are a dependable and compassionate caregiver who helps residents transition comfortably through their daily routines. You take pride in providing attentive care, administering medications accurately, and creating a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

An Evening in the Life

• Assist residents with daily care needs and activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, toileting, and preparing for the day
• Set up, administer, and document medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Monitor vital signs and observe for changes in condition, promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff
• Respond to resident needs and calls with professionalism, compassion, and urgency
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Complete accurate documentation and communicate important information to the oncoming shift
• Foster a respectful and supportive atmosphere for residents and coworkers alike

Qualifications

• License/Certification: Must hold current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certifications in the state of Kansas
• Valid CPR certification required
• Experience: Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or another healthcare setting preferred
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, particularly with medication administration and documentation; Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative care team; Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills; Compassionate and professional approach to resident care; Dependable and committed to providing consistent, high-quality care
