Job Requirements

JOB SUMMARY: Prepares, distributes and controls sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment, and instrumentation. Assists the patient care team to provide and maintain customer service focus essential for smooth operations.

Work Experience

Education & Training:

• High school diploma,
• certification as Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST).

Work Orientation & Experience:

Previous experience in a Central Sterile Supply Technician position preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Must be self-directed and capable to carry out assignments with limited supervision, and will accept responsibility to assist in on-the-job training of new team members. Ability to:

• a) effectively convey verbal and written information;
• b) follow directions;
• c) respond to emergency situations appropriately;
• d) adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the hospital, including all shifts;
• e) effectively function as a member of a collaborative team;
• f) organize and manage time effectively, setting appropriate priorities;
• g) comply with The Joint Commission and OSHA standards;
• h) be self-directed and capable to carry out assignments with limited supervision and,
• i) assist in on-the-job training of new team members.

Benefits

Full-Time Days (7am-3:30pm)

Pay Range: $20.47 - $28.64/hr. (depends on years of experience)
