Job Overview

To conduct segments of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Initial and Renewal courses for residents, physicians, employees, and participants from outside the organization.

Schedule

Casual
Typically, Monday through Friday 7:00am-5:00pm
May need weekend or evening hours

Responsibilities

This position will teach basic life support classes for Fairview employees across the Fairview Health System, and for outside participants to maintain certifications in accordance with published American Heart Association (AHA) instructor content and guidelines.

• Responsible for the instruction and testing of multi-disciplinary staff knowledge and skills as related to the content being provided.
• Prepares materials and completes necessary documentation for staff attending classes as required by the course coordinator and/or supporting organizational guidelines.
• Cleans and supports maintaining and transporting equipment utilized for training as needed.
• Cleans, maintains, and transports equipment utilized for training as needed.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining a welcoming, encouraging, and professional learning environment.

Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) or Instructor Trainer

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of healthcare and instructional experience

Compensation Disclaimer

This position provides one flat hourly rate, with regular reviews to ensure competitiveness with the market. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
