Thysse has been helping brands show up since 1941, in print, in the mail, in retail signage and on the walls. We’re a third-generation, family-owned company with a bold goal of doubling our business. To get there, we need a Business Development Manager who wants to build something, a portfolio of clients they found, won, and grew.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage the status quo. We’re looking for a strategic, relationship-driven sales professional who knows how to open doors, win new clients, and consistently grow revenue. You’ll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and first conversation to signed deal — while collaborating closely with our internal teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Prospect & Develop New Business
• Identify and pursue new client opportunities through strategic outreach and networking
• Nurture marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and establish sales qualified leads (SQLs) through independent efforts
• Negotiate and close new client agreements and contracts
• Build and maintain a strong referral partner network
• Stay sharp on competitive activity and market trends
• Maintain required outreach activity
• Attend weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with the VP of Business Development
• Track client revenue and maintain adherence to targeted sales goals

Track & Report

• Document all client and prospect interactions accurately in HubSpot CRM
• Maintain clean, organized client data
• Complete weekly activity reports including accomplishments, challenges, and plans ahead

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

• Work with Project Management and Operations to ensure client deadlines are met
• Partner with Marketing to maximize new product, service, and client opportunities
• Serve as a thought contributor on Thysse’s lines of business — internally and with clients

Requirements

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sales, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
• Familiarity with Thysse’s lines of business is preferred: Environmental Graphics, Offset/Digital, Large Format, Bindery, Die Cutting, Graphic Design, Inventory Management, Digital Storefronts, Direct Mail, and Fulfillment/Distribution
• Proficiency with HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools preferred
• Exceptional presentation skills with a proven ability to command a room, engage stakeholders, and deliver compelling pitches.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
