BIM Manager - Mechanical - Omaha

What They're Looking For

• Strong experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) in mechanical construction or MEP environments.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and experience with CAD coordination.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems, construction drawings, and field installation requirements.
• Experience coordinating models across multiple trades and identifying potential conflicts before construction.
• Ability to establish BIM standards, develop workflows, and improve modeling processes.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Leadership potential and an interest in building and developing a BIM team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Take ownership of BIM modeling and coordination for commercial construction projects.
• Develop and maintain accurate 3D models to support project planning, fabrication, and field installation.
• Lead CAD and BIM coordination efforts with project managers, engineers, field personnel, and trade partners.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, constructability concerns, and coordination challenges.
• Establish modeling standards, procedures, and best practices to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Support prefabrication, shop drawings, field layouts, and construction documentation.
• Evaluate opportunities to streamline processes and maximize the use of BIM technology.
• Help grow the BIM function, with the opportunity to build and lead your own team.

Additional Experience That Would Be a Plus

• GTP Stratus, Navisworks, or other BIM coordination platforms.
• Bluebeam, Trimble Field Points, or FARO 3D scanning.
• Experience with prefabrication, shop drawings, or field coordination.
• Previous experience mentoring or leading BIM professionals.
• Electrical modeling or coordination experience.
