Job Description

At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s Development team is seeking an Associate Seed Scientist in Columbus, Ohio from July - December. This role will support the characterization and validate placement of Late-Stage hybrids. Ensure experimental hybrids meet environmental stress standards for deployment. Support field note evaluation and note collection for regional adaptation confirmation.

Accountabilities:

• Support the characterization and validate placement of Late-Stage hybrids.
• Ensure experimental hybrids meet environmental stress standards for deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, or related field

4+ years experience in agricultural trial evaluation or related fields

Demonstrated industry expertise in hybrid deployment

Strong communication skills

Established understanding of the seed industry mechanics of hybrid deployment

Ability to connect with external stakeholders

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience managing time independently in the field
• Expertise in statistical interpretation
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to align scientific research with commercial objectives.
• Willingness to travel domestically
• 4+ years experience in agricultural trial evaluation or related fields
• Demonstrated industry expertise in hybrid deployment
