Global Broadcast Service Operations Center (GBSOC) Broadcast Engineer

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado

Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance

Position Summary:

ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a GBSOC Broadcast Engineer at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. This position is responsible for engineering, monitoring, troubleshooting, and sustaining mission critical broadcast and network systems that support Combatant Command Theater Information Managers and GBS users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering and technical support for GBS systems.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize broadcast system performance.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, network, and service issues in a mission-critical environment.
• Configure and support TCP/IP networks, VPNs, routing, multicast, and related technologies.
• Support Windows desktop and workstation environments and multiple operating systems.
• Analyze GBS system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with government personnel, COCOM Theater Information Managers, and mission partners.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, outage reports, and engineering procedures.
• Support technology refreshes, system upgrades, testing, and modernization efforts.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and configuration management requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Program Management, or related field or equivalent experience DoD Secret security clearance.
• Or minimum of four (4) years of relevant GBS experience, systems engineering, communications, or IT operations.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, VPNs, DHCP, and DNS.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting GBS Receive Suites.
• Familiarity with Satellite Broadcast Manager (SBM) and satellite communications systems.
• Experience with LAN/WAN operations, multicast traffic, and enterprise network architectures.
• Knowledge of DISA, Space Force, Air Force, or other DoD communications environments.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Customer support or technical help desk experience.

Shift Work Requirement:

This position supports 24/7 operations center. Primary duty hours 1100–1900, M-F, with occasional on call coverage required for weekends and holidays.
