Job Title: Assistant Kitchen Manager

Location: Jefferson, LA

Salary: $50K - $60K

What We’re Looking For: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join a well established, locally owned full service restaurant group with multiple locations across the greater New Orleans area. This is a hands on leadership opportunity within a high volume, scratch kitchen known for regional Cajun and Creole cuisine, a strong bar program, and a loyal local guest following. The ideal candidate has strong BOH leadership experience, thrives in a fast paced kitchen environment, and is passionate about developing culinary teams while maintaining high standards for food quality, consistency, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily BOH operations, including prep, line execution, service, and kitchen close
• Lead, train, coach, and develop kitchen team members while maintaining a positive and accountable culture
• Ensure consistent execution of recipes, portioning, presentation, food quality, and kitchen standards
• Partner with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager to maintain smooth ticket flow and efficient service
• Assist with kitchen scheduling, labor management, and staffing based on business volume
• Monitor food inventory, ordering, waste, portion control, and food costs
• Maintain strict standards for food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and proper food handling
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of BOH team members
• Troubleshoot operational challenges during service and provide hands on leadership during high volume periods
• Assist with private dining, catering, and special event execution as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen while ensuring equipment and work areas are properly maintained
• Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen administration, operational goals, and overall restaurant performance
